Mika-KorkeakoskiDevelopment Director. Korkeakoski’s current tasks relate to research and institutional capacity building of Higher Education Institutions (CRECE, DEEM) on Climate Change, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development. Mika has worked previously with a wide range of actors from ministries to academia and civil society. Before joining FFRC, Mika worked as the Regional Environment Adviser for Poverty-Environment Initiative at the United Nations’ Environment Programme (UNEP) Regional Office of Asia and Pacific in Bangkok and has work experience from countries such as India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Tanzania. Mika’s expertise and research interests include natural resource governance, sustainable energy, poverty reduction and climate change.
